| JUDGE JULES - MONTHLY DIARY |
Leaving my show, we set off immediately for the UK's largest dance club, the Syndicate in Blackpool, 230 miles North West. The motorway network wasn't in our favour, with the M42 being completely shut, meaning we arrived ten minutes late for my midnight set. With over 4000 people in the club, it would have been hard to put a foot wrong from a dj'ing perspective, and the night had a very clued-up crowd. Resident dj and musical director Fubar was on top form. I've mentioned my good mate Fubar in this column before. He's true showbiz, playing percussion, singing and generally acting up during my set, which was mighty amusing. I even added a few syllables of singing myself at the end of my set, which is usually to be avoided at all costs! A great night got even better when I managed to sleep every last minute of the journey home, being prodded and woken outside my back door in London at 5.30 on Sunday morning |
