Welcome to my weekly diary report 09-10-06.
Apologies for not updating last week but I was a wee bit under the weather after the madness of the weekend.
The last couple of weeks have been amazing at the club. Dave Pearce & Jon O Bir 2 Saturdays ago was an awesome night and that whole weekend was great.
This Weekend just gone was a triple whammy of great nights, Thursday was packed out with the assistance of a load of ravers from Lancaster Uni so combined with the bouncy locals it was a great night and one that continues to grow. Friday too was a really good night and one that is getting better every week so I definitely recommend popping down one Friday for a bit of Old Skool & Funky House (if that’s your bag ??) DJ Devil in Level 1 has shifted more towards RnB on a Friday sits getting better every week.
Saturday night I was overwhelmed with as the last Syndicate sessions was slightly down in numbers with it being the 1st Saturday since we re-opened that we didn’t have a guest dj on. Saturday just gone was amazing, we had well over 3500 clubbers in and the atmosphere was awesome. Normally im advertised to do a 5 hour set, but we had a great addition to the night in form of DJ Lou B who has played at the club late last year and really plays some great House so she did a great warm up set and I did 3 hours and the atmosphere was electric. We were also joined by Carey Doolan on Trumpet from Australia and he was an excellent addition to the night’s proceedings. This Saturday we welcome back the legends JEREMY HEALY & GRAEME PARK to the mighty Dance Arena and the added bonus of The Lovely Laura on Sax. Jeremy & Graeme are without doubt two of my favourite DJs and their history is THE History of the UKs clubbing scene with both being well respected and admired the world over & I think having both on will make the night a little extra special so I hope you can make it down, but don’t forget THE Q’s ARE BIG SO TRY & COME BEFORE 11pm !!
